Kayla Kress scores two goals to lead Avon Lake JV squad to win against Padua


Just five minutes into the Varsity game, thunder, rain, and even hail
invaded ALHS Memorial stadium
and forced cancellation of the Avon Lake vs. Padua varsity match.  

The game will be made up at a later date.  

However, the JV teams were able to get their game in and Avon Lake
emerged with a 2-0 victory.

Both Shoregal goals were scored by Kayla Kress with assists from Cara
Dannemiller and Nichole Nally.

The shutout was shared in goal by Lindsay Butler with 2 saves and Amy
Crooks with 1 save.  With the victory, the Shoregal JV team ups its record to 5-2-1 on the season.

Shoremen come from behind for win

In an SWC matinee, the Shoremen come back from being down 1-0 against

the Meteors.  

Tyler Palcisco struck first for Midpark on a great
counterattack goal 10 minutes into the first half and the Meteors held
the lead until 2 minutes in the half.  

Kyle Smith buried an Eric Mills
corner than Ian Stewart converted a PK 90 seconds later for the
Shoremen to take a 2-1 lead into the half.  

In the second half, Eric
Mills converted on an Alex Voloshen set piece to put the Shoremen
ahead 3-1 five minutes into the second half.
